TheDMZ was originally the brainchild of Robin and Lori at KiloHertz Networks, they'd been producing jungleZone for about 6 months and decided that it would boost their recognition if they could offer more than just Drum N Bass. So I volunteered to throw together a weekly radio show covering everything in dance music which wasn't going to get played on jungleZone.
Since then, theDMZ has been going for 28 episodes on several stations, and currently broadcast weekly on Club 246, m4radio and Smooth Radio. The episodes are also available for download on the eDonkey network if you're patient.
So, this section is all about the show, each week I play an hour of general music, trying to cover soemthing of everything, then I pass control over to a carefully selected guest DJ who can play whatever they like. Generally this means that the first hour goes all over the place and tries to appeal to everyone and everything, while the second hour will end up focussing on whatever the guest likes to play. The show is available on CD, mp3 or ogg for distribution to affiliates, it costs nothing to non-commercial broadcasters, or for commercial broadcasters for that matter, but you've only got room for 2 minutes worth of commercials each hour. Check out the 'pitch' for the first episode to get an idea of what we're providing.
Every week I write a supporting message to go with the show, containing information on the music, guests and tracklistings, check them out here
All of my mixes are available on my imeem page the best place to find anything music related.
