| Artist | Track | Label | Buy? (readme) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bassbin Twins | ESW | Marine Parade | |
This is the intro track we play
at the start of every show. Slammin Beats!
| Static Revenger vs The Mullet Men |
Long Time | White Label | |
If this 12 inch were any more cheezy you'd be getting it from your local pizza
joint, seriously, I love this track, the fat bassline saves it from descending
into substandard pop remix territory. Hey - it's the summer - this is a
perfect beach party tune.

| Timo Maas |
Manga | Perfecto | |
From his album 'Loud' this is a prog house record with nu-breaks attitude,
great builds and breakdowns - the kind of record that makes a DJ look like
a hero when it's played.

| Infusion |
Legacy (Junkie XL Mix) | Audiotherapy | |
Infusion seem to love their proggy numbers with atmospheric male vocals, I
had a chance to see them do this live recently, definately worth catching
if you can.

| Tony Faline |
Feel The Funk (Krafty Kuts Remix) | Air | |
Another track I discovered through the recent Plump DJ's essential mix, the
Krafty Kuts mix adds a lot more acid bleeps to the track, this went over
well at the DNA Lounge.
| X-Press 2 |
Smoke Machine (Tendroid Mix) | Skint | |
X-Press 2 have an amazing pedigree in house music, they've even worked with
the legendary David Byrne, but here we've got a darker, moodier remix of
Smoke Machine for you.
| D'Ranged |
Punk City | Southern Fried | |
Crowd noises are a dangerous thing to add to a record, it's soo easy to make
them sound self congratulatory, but here it's just right - expect a feature
on Southern Fried records in the coming weeks.
| Meat Katie |
K-Hole | SAW | |
More succulent goodness from Meat Katie, stay away from this place right kids?
| Nacca |
Take Me Away | Acute Recording | |
I had this as a promo for a long time, it's a dark prog house number with
a bit of an edge, so it's perfect for following up Meat Katie.

| The Chemical Brothers |
Electronic Battle Weapon #1 | Freestyle Dust | |
The Chemical Brothers Electronic Battle Weapon records have reached #6 by now,
but this is still a classic evil big beat technoesque track. Ah who am I
kidding, I can't classify this it's just a damn good track.
| Drummatic Twins |
Drummatical | Finger Lickin' | |
Easy for me to remember - Drummatic from the Drummatic Twins album Drummatical,
seriously, another of those high energy 4 to the floor tracks with a breaks
attitude (and acid noises - we always like that).
| Junkie XL |
Zerotonine | XL | |
What does the title mean? Zero to Nine? 9 O Clock? or is it someone
mispronouncing Seratonin - one of those biochemistry terms which has become
common knowledge with the general public because of MDMA or ad's for FDA
approved anti-depressants. Whatever, it's a great track, well except for the
breakdown halfway through that kills the energy, so I won't play that.
| James Brown |
The Payback (Norman Cook Mix) | Urban | |
This remix was done back in 1998, just as Norman Cook was making Fatboy Slim
the biggest thing in electronic music, I though I'd better play this since
I played 'Brown James' last week.
| Skeewiff |
The Bone | Jalapeno | |
I love the Overdrive EP - every track is worth the price of the whole thing.
| Krafty Kuts feat TC Islam |
Ill Type Sound | Finger Lickin' | |
TC Islam is one of the sons of the Legendary Afrika Bambata, Krafty Kuts likes
his hip-hop, not that MTV style stuff, this is good time party Hip-Hop with
not a hint of Gangsta aggro or Bling Bling posing. Oh and it's on
Finger Lickin' so it gets a step up in my record box just for that.
| Kurtis Mantronix feat Miriam Gray |
How Di You Know? | Southern Fried | |
We played the original version of this a while ago, well it's back again with
a new vocal and ready to take on any number of other filter disco wannabes,
here's hoping it'll do good things for Southern Fried.
