April Foolishness DJ S&M

This was the first mix I recorded with the benefit of the digital DJ application 'MsPinky' it features a lot of tracks that I don't actually have on vinyl, or at least didn't have when the mix was recorded. The opening track is pretty muxh ripped straight from 'Kill Bill Volume 1' - a movie which I should add has a fantastic soundtrack. The mix also features my homemade quick and dirty remix of Electric Six's 'Danger (High Voltage)' - always a hit when I play it.

There are a few major tempo transitions, it starts out around 127, jumps to 147, then to about 175, and finally back down to 125. All in all this is how I'd like to sound live, but this took 20 takes to get right, some of those were due to random crashes in the software.

Favourite Bit:
The first track, being able to play audio from a DVD in a mix opens up new possibilities.

Hardest Part:
Mixing in a Punk track, those drummers aren't as precise as drum machines.
